A bit ago I posted a ‘what would you ask’ posting. Below are some of the
questions (mixed with my own) asked.
1) From Pam B - What brought you to become part of this show?
Scott= Luck! I’ve admired the franchise and its integrity since I first watched it on TV and had been trying to get on-board with the show since its inception. Had nearly 6 years of paranormal investigating under my belt before finally joining GHI.
2) From Richard R-Would belief in a god concept be necessary to believe in ghosts or an afterlife?
Scott= Open-mindedness is probably the most important concept. If you shut your willingness to accept the unusual, you shut the possibility of potentially experiencing things. We certainly don’t bring religion into our investigations. However, since we investigate all over the world, we need to be aware of the different cultures & customs of our surroundings in order to properly approach each case.
3) From Erin O- What should I do if I want to get rid of a malevolent energy?
Scott= Depending on the situation, seek out the help of an appropriate professional (religious figure, etc.) to help. Never attempt to “cleanse” the house on your own. That often makes things worse.
4) Me- What’s the scariest/spookiest encounter to date? Doesn’t have to have been with the show, I mean ever.
Scott= Chacachacare Island off the coast of Trinidad was probably one of the most disturbing places I’ve been to. It was an abandoned leper colony that looked like a prison overgrown with jungle. Some of the buildings had asbestos & we had to wear masks to investigate. There were many uneasy feelings and a sense of overwhelming sadness there.
5) Me- Creepiest/Most Haunted overall country you have been in so far?
Scott= There have been so many. Trinidad and Argentina have been some of the most memorable ones.
6) Me- Favorite piece of investigating equipment and why?
Scott= A good quality audio recorder. I’ve always been fascinated with the science of EVP and ITC.
Speed Round:
(Knowing that you’re a horror movie enthusiast)
Friday the 13th or Halloween?
Scott= If you’re asking what movie I’d choose, then ‘Friday the 13th’. Absolutely.
Christmas or Halloween?
Scott= Halloween is my favorite holiday, but there are some awesome Christmas-themed horror films (‘Silent Night, Deadly Night’ one of the all-time greats).
An old castle or old farmhouse?
Scott= Farmhouse. Hillbillies are scarier than vampires!
Visual Proof or Audio Proof?
Scott= Either as long as the evidence is solid.
Scott has numerous events and works in the process, below is small sampling of where you can find him and how you can keep up with him.
